Sorry for the confusion. Yes it’s not by the transmission tunnel. It’s between the firewall and the engine, attached to the plenum, close to the brake booster). I’m just trying to explain how to solenoid is oriented. The metal clip is pretty much upside down (the portion that clips into the little tooth on the EFI harness connector) oriented toward the transmission tunnel. This making it extremely difficult to take the clip off. I ended up just taking the whole IACV off the plenum just to get that stupid clip out so I could remove the EFI connector.
